“ Cute place, decent food and service, reasonable price. The only thing I dont like is selfserve water. The house hotpot was plain, lobster hotpot was decent, sezhuang spicy hotpot was good, recommended. Also, the clams with vermicelli was spicy and tasty, as well as the braised pork with squail eggs rice bowl, recommended. Brown sugar milk tea was also good. No sago desserts in both visits. ”
“ We came here a year ago when we were in town for a convention two days in a row. This year, I knew we need to come back. Food is the same as last year. I think they were short staffed today but Brittany was great. Thank you, Brittany!!! Im a regular to Boiling Point in my town for more than a decade. I like their sauce and spice but Boiling Avenue has their habanero sauce that add kick to any soup. The best part about this place is that they allow you to substitute up to 3 items of equal or lesser value. I like this policy because I can have them remove anything I dont like so, it wont go to waste. Its good for me, the business and the world. Less waste of food! Thats absolutely great. The other reviewer mentioned the food comes out not fully cooked but I like it. I can cook the food to my likings and not over cooked. I highly recommend this place if you are in the mood for some Taiwanese hot pot. The portion is very generous too! The only thing I hope they might have is the dipping sauce for the hot pot. I will definitely come back. ”
“ Ive come here a lot since 2017 and six years later Im glad to say the quality hasnt changed after all the economic hardships. I wouldnt come here if I were starving because it takes a bit for the soup to boil less than 10 minutes but feels forever. The price per hotpot was also pretty reasonable. I get the lamb hot pot every time and there is SO much food. I can barely finish it. Once you get through most of the bowl, its best to ask the server to put out the flame for you because it gets too hot. However, the two waitresses were so overworked you could barely get their attention. They need to hire more people. ”
“ As an avid hotpot lover, I went on the hunt to find my new favorite hotpot spot in the Sacramento area. I am happy to share that I think Ive found it in Boiling Avenue. Boiling Avenue offers individual hotpots with a variety of broth and ingredients. They also have a sizeable drink menu if youre looking for something to pair with your dinner. Just a couple logistic things to note. The complex Boiling Avenue is located in has its own parking lot, which makes parking a breeze. Although it doesnt affect the taste of the food, the interior of the restaurant is very cute and easy on the eyes the beautiful ambiance definitely adds to the overall dining experience. We arrived around 8pm or so for a late night dinner bonus points that this place is open til fairly late 10301130pm depending on the day and were instructed to seat ourselves. We ordered the Japanese Miso and Vegetarian hotpot, along with their black milk tea and the kumquat lemon green tea. The hotpot broths were flavorful and the variety of ingredients in each pot were great! As for the drinks, our favorite between the two was definitely the kumquat lemon green tea which was sweet with a bit of tartness to balance it out. The black milk tea was equally good and perfect for anyone looking to satisfy a milk tea craving. If youre in the mood for hotpot, then I highly recommend giving Boiling Avenue a try! I for one will definitely be back in the future. ”
“ Great service! Friendly and attentive. We ordered a hotpot for my son really good portion and taste. My daughter got the spam and egg rice bowl good portion as well, I ordered the unagi rice bowl and it was delicious. For drinks I got the lemon, passion fruit tea and the pineapple passion fruit tea. I would recommend the lemon and passion fruit mix. I would definitely go again! Thanks so much! ”
“ Wow! Such an unexpected experience! Came in looking around as I was just looking for places and this restaurant intrigued me with their unique design and menu. I ordered the House Special hot pot and my goodness, phenomenal! The broth was amazing and there were so much food on the pot. For an price averaging around 16 to 20 dollars, you could really fill your stomach here. ”
“ The food is really great. I came with my familes for dinner. we ordered the popcorn chicken rice bown, tomato beef hot pot, satay beef hot pot, crispy squid, and a glass of lechee green tea. As a Taiwanese, I can confirm that their popcorn chicken is authentic. The flavor is very close to the popcorn chicken I had in Taiwan. But the chicken was a bit too dry so it tasted a little greasy. If they could make the chicken meet more juicy it would be perfect. And the rice bown are too big for one person, probably need two peopel to order. The hotpot was great, very similar to the small hotpot in Taiwan. The tomato beef hotpot was perfect, the soup was refreshing and sweet, no any problem on it. The satay one was good too. The soup is rich and full of flavor , but it became increasingly salty as it evaporated. The only pity is their crispy squid. To be honest it was not crispy at all lol. I totally couldnt taste the crust, though the sauce was nice. About the lychee green tea. The sweetness is just right and not too sweet. Many restaurants always add too much sugar to their drinks, I really dont understand why. The sugar in the tea is well balanced so it wont cover out the flavors of lychee and tea. For me, I definitely recommend dining here. Their environment is comfortable and clean, and the food is great of course. But the serving speed is a bit slow, so it is not good for those who are very hungry to have meal. ”
“ Boiling Avenue is very good casual restaurant, which is really well priced. They are essentially a Japanese restaurant that serves hot pots and small dishes that are mainly Japanese style, but they also encompass other culinary styles from around the world. We found their Japanese Tonkotsu hot pot to be extremely tasty and, quite a good deal. The eggplant and meat sauce is excellent as well as their spicy cumin beef. The cucumber salad was extremely tasty but if you have an issue with raw garlic, I dont recommend you get it because its loaded with raw garlic. Their Boba and Asian style tea drinks are also extremely good. Not too sweet but with lots of flavor. Overall an excellent restaurant. The best overall restaurant that Ive visited in Sacramento. ”
